<br />
<br />
<br />
Are you ready for a little unicorn magic?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Heaven knows I already had some unicorn images. But then, MoYou London came out with a unicorn themed plate and like the total fangirl that I am, I put it into my shopping cart.<br />
<br />

It's been a long time since I've made a decal that has lettering on it, and I forgot that the lettering would be backwards if I worked from my silicone mat. Luckily I noticed before applying the decal to my nails and I just cut off the "believe" and then stamped it directly under the unicorn.<br />

MoYou London Trend Hunter 11Hello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I have another fairly simple mani for you today, which I ended up liking quite a bit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib-fEd5NbnfAP3hOwBUj9_oOpTBuo_ufuK_BJG2k-EgmXJFLEd8wuk9aPUsimBdtSUkba0A2WuJXqL3FPPKMwa9tUg4_4bMknQP8O-X83B9IVrhitGZYClaarnR4TvqpTpaLUGX_Z7N7Yu/s1600/vintagefloral.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1590" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib-fEd5NbnfAP3hOwBUj9_oOpTBuo_ufuK_BJG2k-EgmXJFLEd8wuk9aPUsimBdtSUkba0A2WuJXqL3FPPKMwa9tUg4_4bMknQP8O-X83B9IVrhitGZYClaarnR4TvqpTpaLUGX_Z7N7Yu/s320/vintagefloral.JPG" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This mani was inspired by the plate I used for it, which is one that I hemmed and hawed over quite a bit before I finally bit the bullet and bought recently:<br />
<br />

I really like a lot of the MoYou London Trend Hunter collection, but I wasn't sure about this one. However, I ended up using an image today that wasn't even one of my favorites from the plate and I like it, so I am happy I ended up buying it after all and am looking forward to playing more with it.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-53128040038480826202018-07-28T07:29:00.000-07:002018-07-28T07:29:49.121-07:00Make Way! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm really excited about today's nails. Honestly, this sort of mani, where each nail has a completely different design yet they look ok together, really intimidates me so it's not something I've attempted often. So I am so pleased that these turned out- I am just really digging this look!<br />
<br />
Anyone who has seen Moana (and if you haven't, GO WATCH IT on Netflix because it is amazing) probably recognizes the themes on this mani. When I recently received a bunch of the Bundle Monster Polynesia plates in a grab bag Moana nails was one of the first things I thought of. That boat is a perfect Moana boat!<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

Also that swordfish pattern in the lower left corner is adorable. But these are not swordfish nails, no no. I immediately saw that boat and thought it would be the perfect centerpiece for a Moana mani.<br />

My pointer finger hibiscus comes from the buffet plate from the same collection. I love buffet plates in theory, though honestly they often end up collecting dust in my collection. I guess it's more work to pick out images from them and figure out what you want them to do.<br />

My middle nail is for measuring the stars, not giving the sky a high-five. I need to use this plate on more manis, so here we go. Though I still need to use those adorable kitschy space images, especially the cats.<br />
<br />
There you are- some summery island nails and probably my favorites that I've done in a while.<br />

Today's mani leans a little more traditional with a floral theme, and a chance to try out one of my newly acquired MoYou London plates.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I did this mani for a "chevron" prompt for Clairsetelle8 on instagram. I thought it would go nicely with the floral, but now I'm just not sure about the line going through the daisy paired with the chevron pattern. Maybe it's because the chevrons are horizontal and the line is vertical that I feel like it isn't quite meshing the way I want it to.<br />

Today's mani is a simpler design, with the prompt "Far East" in mind. I wanted to do a softer, pinker far east mani rather than going for bold reds and golds this time... kind of like the lovely soft pink cherry blossoms of China.<br />
<br />

<br />
My dragon comes from this Bundle Monster "Around the World" plate featuring China (sorry about the cloud on this plate- living in the Mojave Desert has perks like normally cloudless skies, but it's been a rainier summer than usual).<br />
<br />
Side note: as I was painting tonight, my 7 year old watched me and asked to be included. So he now has the yin yan stamped onto his ring finger nails and is quite pleased about it.<br />

<br />
The background of these nails has a tone-on-tone pink thing going on, with a kind of floral-esque pattern from this Bundle Monster plate. I was originally going to stamp the bamboo, but I didn't like how the starker lines contrasted with the dragon and though the floral would give the softer look I was going for.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-90340399020962162162018-07-17T15:58:00.000-07:002018-07-17T15:58:06.104-07:00Barn Cat ft. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My inspiration for this mani started this newer MoYou London Animal 14 plate- so many cute cat images! I'm a cat person for sure, so I couldn't help picking this up to add to my vast library of feline images.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My ring finger nail started out white with the cat face stamped over it and "meow" below, but it felt a little too simple so I painted a swatch of yellow onto my mat and stamped the face over it, waited for it to dry and used scissors to cut a straight line under it and apply it over my nail.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6QTmgtJUk16fd4JIMAW8dpPHEM-X0OlscuIMBYqmgq0Zz6HcQo5L-U-WrWdc3qVX6S03G_b9H-TLLoIhUKgE-HOu4AmQN1eujyi5al4ZrJyBDOqDGhIs3JixpHdnDuZnkaosgUxxzFH4V/s1600/mother+nature+16.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1045" data-original-width="1600" height="208" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6QTmgtJUk16fd4JIMAW8dpPHEM-X0OlscuIMBYqmgq0Zz6HcQo5L-U-WrWdc3qVX6S03G_b9H-TLLoIhUKgE-HOu4AmQN1eujyi5al4ZrJyBDOqDGhIs3JixpHdnDuZnkaosgUxxzFH4V/s320/mother+nature+16.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Then I stamped a vine pattern from MoYou London's Mother Nature 16 plate on the seam between my yellow and white polishes. I'm thinking now it might have been better in gray instead of blue, or maybe just left out altogether. </div>

My little mouse faces come from the MoYou London Animal 08 plate. I really love the animal collection- they have so many stinkin cute images! The image for the hay stamped behind my mice comes from a Bundle Monster plate, BM-XL17. This was one I got in the grab bag sale recently, and it's a good one. I feel like this image in particular (bottom row, second to last) would also be great yarn or spaghetti. I also love the cascading line image (2nd image on top row). </div>

Final plate to show you- this one is from the newer Bundle Monster "Botanicals" collection, and in fact I used a different woodgrain image from this on <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2018/07/seattle-inspired-nails-ft-bundle.html">my last mani</a> as well. </div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's mani was done for an Instagram challenge for "vacation" nails. I decided to commemorate the summer vacation I took with my family to Seattle earlier this season.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFZLkqpHzQ6TStQffGHbxa_-Rw3nJYyyHrdQy1Krog7G4uZVhC7cz9ZOhOKJLvJRahSvSVMv7xVALf28RYjGIfqWbQfRYjtB_Ix0f2pwvkkAf3MGAKQVTbTdVLGiFaEafD-Jnkt62-JEWe/s1600/seattle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFZLkqpHzQ6TStQffGHbxa_-Rw3nJYyyHrdQy1Krog7G4uZVhC7cz9ZOhOKJLvJRahSvSVMv7xVALf28RYjGIfqWbQfRYjtB_Ix0f2pwvkkAf3MGAKQVTbTdVLGiFaEafD-Jnkt62-JEWe/s400/seattle.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Seattle, to me, is a beautiful mesh up of nature and city. I wanted to represent a little bit of each on this mani, so I have the woodgrain pattern to symbolize all the beautiful trees and forests we saw on our trip, and the gray and silver for the bustle of traffic and the city.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGcNczYOGkdxdOW0Rq9FhKSJ6O5bYTTZHyaDRHtcjUmhUCn1yoU20qsjkdQ8f531eYgAqEeSCNLqItjPDN5i9G_ywqhEfgZ0ZSF5sQKo_-B15pMNgTnUqX5-8ao7DI_ejv9qZ7pEkZQ4Mu/s1600/BM-S328+woodgrain.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="965" data-original-width="1022" height="188" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGcNczYOGkdxdOW0Rq9FhKSJ6O5bYTTZHyaDRHtcjUmhUCn1yoU20qsjkdQ8f531eYgAqEeSCNLqItjPDN5i9G_ywqhEfgZ0ZSF5sQKo_-B15pMNgTnUqX5-8ao7DI_ejv9qZ7pEkZQ4Mu/s200/BM-S328+woodgrain.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
So, this mani starts off with a beige base (Sinful Colors Beaches and Cream) with a woodgrain pattern from this Bundle Monster "Botanicals" collection plate. This plate is one of my favorite in the collection- I find myself reaching for wood grain patterns quite often so it's nice to have some new ones to play with!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj98n41jJAXBBxdPNztQJWa7ws_SZ4h9Mq4JCnPTniocuTUVorAn2acII73CuOOH1f3pQ05L0IvbVqIX99tPFUKAGq7iI3inOAU6jfaVbNjX93TTMkKsP1PnxQ44fPMQz9WTsEslTnDc6Id/s1600/mother+nature+16.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1045" data-original-width="1600" height="208" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj98n41jJAXBBxdPNztQJWa7ws_SZ4h9Mq4JCnPTniocuTUVorAn2acII73CuOOH1f3pQ05L0IvbVqIX99tPFUKAGq7iI3inOAU6jfaVbNjX93TTMkKsP1PnxQ44fPMQz9WTsEslTnDc6Id/s320/mother+nature+16.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For the half gray/half wood grain nails, I decided to do the entire gray half as a decal on my silicone mat. I've done a kind of <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/05/crumpets-nail-tarts-pink-gold-and-lilac.html">dip-dyed nail effect before</a>, and it's one of my favorite manis, but I wanted to try adding a little detail to the seam this time.<br />
<br />
So I started by stamping the straight leaf pattern from MoYou London's Mother Nature 14 plate onto my mat.<br />
<br />
My next step was to paint a large area next to the leaf pattern with gray polish. I used the MoYou London Holy Shapes 05 plate to help me get a straight line to start, but then went over it with the nail polish brush to make sure it has good opacity. The leaf pattern has leaves on both sides, so I made sure to paint over half of the leaves since I only wanted them on one side of the gray area.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS9MjhlY4UKM-KDILtGlZOEyTs1vV0tqpzRge5_TVDLxQ0yekCHM8oG6sC72bp3xAuYrCwj7V9x_7B5HCJfdcRz6mWD4Q4GNafvMdjrZ8i4wRAsPxiBZOMj2jMPH0PYLG4_s9-tRXLESvt/s1600/BM+XL04+basic+patterns%252C+hexagon.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="893" data-original-width="1600" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS9MjhlY4UKM-KDILtGlZOEyTs1vV0tqpzRge5_TVDLxQ0yekCHM8oG6sC72bp3xAuYrCwj7V9x_7B5HCJfdcRz6mWD4Q4GNafvMdjrZ8i4wRAsPxiBZOMj2jMPH0PYLG4_s9-tRXLESvt/s320/BM+XL04+basic+patterns%252C+hexagon.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Next, I stamped the third pattern on the top row of this Bundle Monster plate that I got in the 20 plates for $20 sale recently. I thought that it had a bit of an industrial feel to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdd6O1kXmbuRLqyt5maJDXflJL0SX4UnIpcK2Wrd0orGAVwiJ1O5rtUANfOgvHazpDCOa8wWJjYP4T3uFZ48tjwAnoP5R6ztioMbcAJI7XAZT6w9KXiZFyspZM7h6FoTz34v5VnsudYTrz/s1600/BM-S324+smaller+flowers.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="730" data-original-width="752" height="193" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdd6O1kXmbuRLqyt5maJDXflJL0SX4UnIpcK2Wrd0orGAVwiJ1O5rtUANfOgvHazpDCOa8wWJjYP4T3uFZ48tjwAnoP5R6ztioMbcAJI7XAZT6w9KXiZFyspZM7h6FoTz34v5VnsudYTrz/s200/BM-S324+smaller+flowers.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
Finally, I used another of the Bundle Monster Botanicals plates to add Washington's State flower, the Rhodedendron. I always have loved seeing the beautiful Rhodies up in Seattle- just one more thing that makes that area so gorgeous.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-30368224408242450442018-07-14T15:25:00.000-07:002018-07-14T15:25:05.863-07:00Macarons in Paris ft. Moyou London ScandiHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's nails have a Paris theme to go along with an instagram "travelling" challenge. I thought it would be fun to put my favorite french treat along with the iconic tower to represent the romantic destination.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbTCmNDBRz0CZQ3M4yxtzXFfEW3xtHpoyWhR5_ymjIhVTF1IImcTOzmjn3uwVNhJXoSc6gdcxC9Ru2pMyGVSGZUuOZHGV4YYYhUs8f0a-RkxZnGRnbhBE0N9uqizJXmdfXfHIZ_dQ2Lqzm/s1600/france.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbTCmNDBRz0CZQ3M4yxtzXFfEW3xtHpoyWhR5_ymjIhVTF1IImcTOzmjn3uwVNhJXoSc6gdcxC9Ru2pMyGVSGZUuOZHGV4YYYhUs8f0a-RkxZnGRnbhBE0N9uqizJXmdfXfHIZ_dQ2Lqzm/s320/france.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I know I'm not the only one with a soft spot for macarons. Yuuuuum!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNq64b0S-mff00Hey8el2WyhU5EoNd80lu4Q2-RH2mNrKbL2DRIyyMhyr3ZQKNCKSiczzk97W1J9hujojKE2rDq9zoad7-F10BMA8AdkljYIqez8jA3HfVbLZkQZggaKYuQ_VAKyENamsz/s1600/kawaii+desserts.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="980" data-original-width="1600" height="196" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNq64b0S-mff00Hey8el2WyhU5EoNd80lu4Q2-RH2mNrKbL2DRIyyMhyr3ZQKNCKSiczzk97W1J9hujojKE2rDq9zoad7-F10BMA8AdkljYIqez8jA3HfVbLZkQZggaKYuQ_VAKyENamsz/s320/kawaii+desserts.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Those cute macarons come from one of my favorite Bundle Monster collections, the "Kawaii Emoji". I'm surprised to note that I haven't actually used this image before, though I have <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/03/nail-crazies-unite-sweets.html">used this plate</a>.<br />

<br />
The Eiffel Tower image comes from another favorite, the MoYou London Scandi 03. I love all the different looks you can make with this- you could make a <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/03/30-days-of-color-golden-gate-bridge-ft.html">totally different mani</a> based on each image! I've used this<a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/04/basilica-de-la-sagrada-familia-ft-moyou.html"> so many times</a> in <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/05/city-of-rome-ft-moyou-london-scandi.html">so many different ways</a>, and I just never get tired of it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Finally, I used the classic MoYou London "Holy Shapes 05" plate for the stripes. I did make a decal with this stamp as the base, but I found that the light purple polish I used to stamp it in wasn't quite opaque enough to hide the other polishes I painted behind it. So, I used my clear stamper to stamp over the lines with the purple polish a second time and that worked out really well. I think it also helps a lot with these straight line images to do decals because it's really easy for lines to warp when you stamp them onto your nails, and much easier to get them straight with a decal.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-12415120247754093552018-07-10T08:06:00.002-07:002018-07-10T08:06:28.927-07:00Wild West mani ft. MoYou London x Amit, Bundle Monster BotanicalsHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's mani was inspired by a prompt on instagram for the Clairestelle8 challenge, which has always been one of my favorites. The prompt is "Wild West", which was timely because I've been itching to try out some of the cactus images on my new plates. Apparently I'm a sucker for cacti, because I bought 3 or 4 plates that were full of them recently.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
I mean, they're a popular trend right now, but I mostly love them because there are a lot of cacti in the desert where I live. So it always seems appropriate to me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
My ring finger image is from this Amit/MoYou London plate (01) that has a lot of cactus images. I seriously love the little cow skull on this image though! Definitely unique to my collection.<br />

<br />
For my pointer/pinky fingers, I colored some of these gorgeous cactus buffet images from the Bundle Monster "Botanicals" collection. I had been eyeing this collection ever since I've been getting back on the nail art wagon, but what made me pull the trigger was that Bundle Monster was having a 4th of July sale and also has plate grab bags- 20 XL plates for $20- and I wanted to see what came in it!<br />
<br />
In case you're curious, it was mostly the generic XL image plates with XL versions of the older round plates, along with quite a few plates from the Polynesia collection and a few blogger collab plates and an around the world plate- at least that's what came in mine. I did get an accidental duplicate but I contacted customer service and they're sending me one to replace the duplicate; I was really pleased with the customer service.<br />

<br />
Finally, my middle finger image is from MoYou London Hipster 16. I've had this plate for a while, and I thought that it would be a perfect source for a pattern to go along with my theme.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-39390075479429010372018-07-08T08:12:00.001-07:002018-07-08T08:12:33.419-07:00Rose Quartz nails ft. MoYou London Explorer 33Hello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's nails are a rose quartz inspired look, because ever since marble nails became all the rage I've wanted to try to do a rose quartz version.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's post is a little- or, I suppose, a lot- different from usual. My kids keep finding painted rocks all around town, and it is so much fun! I had an idea to make my own painted rocks, but with a twist- using nail polish and stamping plates.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZh98T_JSQWBybAgYVtxyNpDKRKIstdYBdZ04JLkHm_EigzFA_WXefvK4YVOLeBYGFQQHG8rz0iKWeCaQQUBFTyBdgmyNWMP22GJchCB2elSV-cnt55Xw3DdMuAtlYFf79mKnJMLi48Wi/s1600/pebbles.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCZh98T_JSQWBybAgYVtxyNpDKRKIstdYBdZ04JLkHm_EigzFA_WXefvK4YVOLeBYGFQQHG8rz0iKWeCaQQUBFTyBdgmyNWMP22GJchCB2elSV-cnt55Xw3DdMuAtlYFf79mKnJMLi48Wi/s640/pebbles.JPG" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These were super fun and easy- basically you just do everything backwards on the back of a clear glass pebble. It was fun to play with some of my new images without having to do a whole mani based on them, and without having to worry about letting my nails dry. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a look at a few of the plates I used for the main images:</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The cactus comes from the Amit X Moyou London 01 plate. There are a lot of images on this plate that would be perfect for making pebbles. I actually was going to also do one of the little carniverous plant, but my 7 year old really wanted to paint that one so I let him do it. </div>

My unicorn comes from MoYou London Hipster 21. Some very cute unicorn and star images on this plate.<br />

The dino and rainbow are both from MoYou London Hipster 19. I mainly bought this plate for the avocado images. I'm a sucker for food manis.<br />

<br />
The galaxy image is from MoYou London Sci-Fi 10. Loving this plate- it has astronaut cats! The space image was also the perfect size to fit on one of those pebbles, so I was happy to get to use the whole image since it's too big for a nail.<br />
<br />
Pikachu comes from a MoYou London plate from the "suki" collection, and the silly face emoji is on one of the emoji plates in the "geek" collection.<br />
<br />
I used a few other plates as well for backgrounds, and a lot of glitter polish since I figured it would be fun on these pebbles and heaven knows I don't use it that often on my nails, since it's such a pain to remove unless you use a peel-off basecoat.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-46889284708941571662018-07-06T08:57:00.000-07:002018-07-06T08:57:01.488-07:00Tropical Night Sky ft. MoYou London Tropical, Bundle MonsterHello Readers!<br />
<br />
Today I have yet another mani that uses the MoYou London "tropical" collection- with summertime being in full force I feel like I keep reaching for these plates!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRTlFW67rPH0r9pPQIrKdECd0tDbntASw7xlJvrSBFM1P-g1CSY2W-N4Mv-9mNoLl8noiN0gQG84Ca4cZ8sTdWHQfbFVKixCvxxyBsJgkKfq0JOPowjoQge9V-iGINw3ct7qiDzmZCIhqm/s1600/traveling+stars.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRTlFW67rPH0r9pPQIrKdECd0tDbntASw7xlJvrSBFM1P-g1CSY2W-N4Mv-9mNoLl8noiN0gQG84Ca4cZ8sTdWHQfbFVKixCvxxyBsJgkKfq0JOPowjoQge9V-iGINw3ct7qiDzmZCIhqm/s320/traveling+stars.JPG" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
This mani was inspired by one that MoYou London had done and posted in Instagram. Though I think they went with a lighter blue, which made it a bit easier to see everything going on with the mani.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDrAfA8LAYB4glwZ3GwRWWAdm50QnTqoVgbIvajTFmsBk9kirE3jkCprgifH0I-HBy2wo1zERfmqp6u-F9jGxZJrclUkRXoQ953ieG2TYB4rt9_3fsmpJBOGUwguO9kwUlmBQXK0nlfnh3/s1600/bundle+monster+kelli+marissa.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="372" data-original-width="640" height="186" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDrAfA8LAYB4glwZ3GwRWWAdm50QnTqoVgbIvajTFmsBk9kirE3jkCprgifH0I-HBy2wo1zERfmqp6u-F9jGxZJrclUkRXoQ953ieG2TYB4rt9_3fsmpJBOGUwguO9kwUlmBQXK0nlfnh3/s320/bundle+monster+kelli+marissa.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This mani starts out with that gorgeous star image from the Bundle Monster + Kelli Marissa blogger collab plate. I love all the gorgeous galaxy images on this plate!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvQX_xc6droYQWDd0TFBocjKK31FJQhdN-EDhvzcvEGmKe7svKVEHGlhDhdfRfruVmn3qJnDtOH8-0C6CECB0EsEyLBBNXRuY42rhqSadNYtKEIld0-DCSg8oYVu_sLk3L0uAAdMzEnAp0/s1600/palms+galore.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="295" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvQX_xc6droYQWDd0TFBocjKK31FJQhdN-EDhvzcvEGmKe7svKVEHGlhDhdfRfruVmn3qJnDtOH8-0C6CECB0EsEyLBBNXRuY42rhqSadNYtKEIld0-DCSg8oYVu_sLk3L0uAAdMzEnAp0/s1600/palms+galore.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped palm fronds from this Bundle Monster plate from the oldie-but-goodie "Hangloose" collection. Such a simple, but versatile plate.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGzbirkfTMlQ2AdGRCWXgmaPxYsIlId6RuYneK4cIOItCRNfoAV1BOarjbupWAp1MJLYtJL7FuNNszQX-toV4i4swb_abgpI7a2TbiJjsk_HkEzpTsOyj-frx3l21QdfQcSdu9Vlv8IJkj/s1600/tropical+32.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="221" data-original-width="400" height="176" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGzbirkfTMlQ2AdGRCWXgmaPxYsIlId6RuYneK4cIOItCRNfoAV1BOarjbupWAp1MJLYtJL7FuNNszQX-toV4i4swb_abgpI7a2TbiJjsk_HkEzpTsOyj-frx3l21QdfQcSdu9Vlv8IJkj/s320/tropical+32.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Finally, I stamped the "good vibes only" phrase in gold over the top of everything. I only wish it was a little bit more readable- it's kind of hard to tell what it says! Those more delicate words probably wold work better with two polishes that highly contrast each other.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-25811900841053187332018-07-04T17:19:00.000-07:002018-07-04T17:19:58.596-07:00A Hawaiian Shirt style mani ft. MoYou London TropicalHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today I am posting details of this summery mani I put up on instagram a little bit ago:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4-uJc_wo0YPqxDAKXrMnEDfA4f4JfqYfTIW3X2tqm7pfGd-cNNC3q4XpvlXch4l7Vad2Kx41X-N1CJ4ilmeSixFGNSIKwoW_-XgdBYEVcCvNeqGrLSospqceDORrp7qH24cNCFdXCp6Yo/s1600/beachy+palms.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4-uJc_wo0YPqxDAKXrMnEDfA4f4JfqYfTIW3X2tqm7pfGd-cNNC3q4XpvlXch4l7Vad2Kx41X-N1CJ4ilmeSixFGNSIKwoW_-XgdBYEVcCvNeqGrLSospqceDORrp7qH24cNCFdXCp6Yo/s320/beachy+palms.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_1433474466"></span><span id="goog_1433474467"></span><br />
I think since I've been away so long, I was hitting a little bit of a creative block. I wanted to do some nail art, but had no idea what to do. So I decided to look for inspiration in my collection of patterned papers that I use for scrapbooking/cardmaking. I found a beachy paper that inspired this look.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEGdh3sJM_QEwfGidMa_REEQiMKNDs03weBOe_eE7ra6oMt7R6K7tbDLooXfws0kIDTJIP0SiiG7pQ6Eu7wey7pidckCMkRqv8RAaXxbqmriwh0fuUG7L6nz8L50arbZgRZmwD820R0szy/s1600/tropical+32.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="221" data-original-width="400" height="176" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEGdh3sJM_QEwfGidMa_REEQiMKNDs03weBOe_eE7ra6oMt7R6K7tbDLooXfws0kIDTJIP0SiiG7pQ6Eu7wey7pidckCMkRqv8RAaXxbqmriwh0fuUG7L6nz8L50arbZgRZmwD820R0szy/s320/tropical+32.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This mani starts with the MoYou London Tropical 33 plate. I love all the fun phrases on this plate! They make such a good focal point for a mani. I actually used the tiny stripes first to add a little bit of detail to the background.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBMRcvGrDELVuNjXI04iPtL6x2AwUZPT4NcE1LYhLT9C7iqnC_Ei99mQmAnLykyWAWWoJYUTqvRBs0q6ZccRDKGHhGHSKIHdwsEK9UmM36y3SBWR5QIGjes3HMOJykbq6oJX6DdjWuha8g/s1600/tropical+17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="352" data-original-width="640" height="176" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBMRcvGrDELVuNjXI04iPtL6x2AwUZPT4NcE1LYhLT9C7iqnC_Ei99mQmAnLykyWAWWoJYUTqvRBs0q6ZccRDKGHhGHSKIHdwsEK9UmM36y3SBWR5QIGjes3HMOJykbq6oJX6DdjWuha8g/s320/tropical+17.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Next, I pulled one of my favorite images from the tropical 17 plate. I had to do some image isolation for this mani, to get the little palm trees a different color than the decorative strips on the end of the image. I found that wrapping a little piece of packing tape around self-closing tweezers worked really well for getting into the tiny areas of this image to pick up the parts I didn't want to stamp.<br />
<br />
After I did the finicky part, I went back to the first plate to stamp the "chill" image.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-13873901575284640102018-07-03T21:01:00.003-07:002018-07-03T21:01:55.986-07:004th of July mani ft. MoYou London Mix & MatchHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
It seems I've gotten a bit behind on my blog, since it is a bit more time consuming to write about the mani than it is to just post it on instagram. I'm jumping ahead a bit to post these patriotic nails in time for the 4th of July tomorrow.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoSJnOTFfICGaAV96FDbXoOBmAI3n1VdZ8Box0wUEKM4dhnqQqdkTdapuxBhF5OFZa58_ilEmgywzkh6ZjcuX4i9p62yvjCBIfxT-NUUSjR2LUWvBg1NJegzeegG46bOb5_2eOVG6h82a6/s1600/july.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoSJnOTFfICGaAV96FDbXoOBmAI3n1VdZ8Box0wUEKM4dhnqQqdkTdapuxBhF5OFZa58_ilEmgywzkh6ZjcuX4i9p62yvjCBIfxT-NUUSjR2LUWvBg1NJegzeegG46bOb5_2eOVG6h82a6/s320/july.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I seriously debated not posting these at all, since they turned out so crooked. But I didn't have another chance to paint my nails before the 4th, even though I came up with an idea I wanted to do (darn it!), so I'm posting these anyway. In retrospect I also wish that I had done a decal on the ring finger and made the "4" white to make it stand out more- I think it would have improved the overall balance of the design. I guess I'm still getting my sea legs back after taking a long break from nail art!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuFctrDt3QOCvyCUBw7oxikUQKxIPPh0ZqGzo07A44MHSUPsgPERYDazMSBNrQceoqLmA88BlixbcJ4GUDFcJrZKMZqAl5Cx8XSyXwf6Z2Xnam-euKfJlbGIybgUHU6yBcD9uqHaLJK6Oz/s1600/mix+n+match+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="873" data-original-width="1600" height="174" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuFctrDt3QOCvyCUBw7oxikUQKxIPPh0ZqGzo07A44MHSUPsgPERYDazMSBNrQceoqLmA88BlixbcJ4GUDFcJrZKMZqAl5Cx8XSyXwf6Z2Xnam-euKfJlbGIybgUHU6yBcD9uqHaLJK6Oz/s320/mix+n+match+01.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
My geometric image for this mani comes from the MoYou London "Mix & Match 05" plate- I thought it would be the perfect image to just add a little color to get the red/white/blue color scheme. I used almost the same image on a<a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/08/crumpets-nail-tarts-color-explosions-ft.html"> tropical mani</a> last year- and I actually got the decals on straight that time so you can look at that if you want to see what that looks like. ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyVJlcKAx9SfM7j1r9-Cw3io1fI-oz7I_5XJCdbPcVMlXlBc1fevMIgOOFrzpCdVJ8iK9ys-e7pf2YlYT3dSaxQs0u0VyeFkfJLh463l1lhe94XuTgmOoFTUSvJc5mO6r-CiDIHI6lufSJ/s1600/festive+4th+of+july.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="392" data-original-width="640" height="196" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyVJlcKAx9SfM7j1r9-Cw3io1fI-oz7I_5XJCdbPcVMlXlBc1fevMIgOOFrzpCdVJ8iK9ys-e7pf2YlYT3dSaxQs0u0VyeFkfJLh463l1lhe94XuTgmOoFTUSvJc5mO6r-CiDIHI6lufSJ/s320/festive+4th+of+july.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My ring finger image comes from the MoYou London Festive collection 27 plate, which has a lot of patriotic images. I did double stamp the nail with a swiggly pattern from the above mentioned Mix and Match plate before stamping the image from this one in black.<br />
<br />
Do you guys have exciting plans for the 4th, or if you are an international reader, for your country's patriotic holiday? We're probably going to skip the big fireworks show this year, but hope to set some little ones off in the street tomorrow with the kids.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-19942538994440810732018-06-20T20:45:00.000-07:002018-06-20T20:45:02.291-07:00Tropical Lemons and life updatesHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
It has been a long time; a very long time; since I have visited my blog. I've been pretty busy making this little beauty:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzBiYHOfzSHnAAWtr49toV5Ye9L6eZBX27zt9ls2zw-pJy-J7ttmowdyFU2zOIHeLPdiJsGHWIyA4yJXZrklRCFA83Ao9w3IYnE6DBFuHbD4UwfYLQMkzIkyhP0xW09um3JsA05mhwL0vu/s1600/ruby.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="768" data-original-width="960" height="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzBiYHOfzSHnAAWtr49toV5Ye9L6eZBX27zt9ls2zw-pJy-J7ttmowdyFU2zOIHeLPdiJsGHWIyA4yJXZrklRCFA83Ao9w3IYnE6DBFuHbD4UwfYLQMkzIkyhP0xW09um3JsA05mhwL0vu/s320/ruby.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
She's not a newborn anymore, but newborn pics are the best and the squishiest so that is what you get. ;) It's been difficult to paint my nails since she's been born because she mostly refuses to sleep unless somebody is holding her, and as you can imagine it's pretty hard (impossible) to do nail art while holding a baby. BUT now she's been going down to sleep in the evenings for a few hours, so I've had some time... to do things like this:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHE0toCZi28HWzzxHUjs7_3WuauUP645ZZYl1NgiJm7ZyQTkxCrBcdUezcQHnUl7Y5hEeyhsA2oBUBik5_vMg-GIppflCvuihVpFkkRbbgIpPnDSyQ75CaHtGC9diBQt334bDTWkIoG8d/s1600/lemons.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1528" data-original-width="1553" height="314" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSHE0toCZi28HWzzxHUjs7_3WuauUP645ZZYl1NgiJm7ZyQTkxCrBcdUezcQHnUl7Y5hEeyhsA2oBUBik5_vMg-GIppflCvuihVpFkkRbbgIpPnDSyQ75CaHtGC9diBQt334bDTWkIoG8d/s320/lemons.png" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So this is my first return to nail art for nearly a year. I've done some really simple stuff during my pregnancy that I didn't really photograph, mainly because I was trying to minimize my exposure to nail polish fumes during my pregnancy, blah blah blah, even though they swear it's safe, it just makes me nervous.<br />
<br />
Anyway, on to the nail art-<br />

<br />
<br />
For this, I used MoYou London's "Tropical 08" plate for the lemons. I had to do some isolation to get the lemons by themselves, but I didn't have any other outlined lemon images so it was worth it. I used a Bundle Monster plate with some palm leaves to stamp over my white polish before adding the lemon decals for a bit more detail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhasGmVbDaCqYPBO22EHEf2pTuO5erag0AF542DoPhPdZQp4EEajQdYB4iJD27JvxfO6F_S3A_0kJZVVaUd6Gl_ZZwvx44cd0HsdmjsNgXj0Mr3rVUdS4GOaKSjGLhMz1-n0oUmeyLW2Ot-/s1600/shape+N+404%252C+alphabet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="908" data-original-width="1600" height="181" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhasGmVbDaCqYPBO22EHEf2pTuO5erag0AF542DoPhPdZQp4EEajQdYB4iJD27JvxfO6F_S3A_0kJZVVaUd6Gl_ZZwvx44cd0HsdmjsNgXj0Mr3rVUdS4GOaKSjGLhMz1-n0oUmeyLW2Ot-/s320/shape+N+404%252C+alphabet.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The striped image on the blue nails (Sinful Colors "Rainstorm" turned out looking more purple than I anticipated on these) came from this Bundle Monster plate from the "Shape Nouveau" collection.<br />
<br />
My original intention for this mani was to do a sort of lemon pattern with denim, but the blue wasn't quite a denim shade and I couldn't find a perfect "stitching" pattern in my collection. I still like how this turned out, though. <br />
<br />
Today's post is another <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a> Review, this time for another little nail wheel full of fun studs!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyvC7IEfqPVZ5M7DCK5qm097nsN59avmWRai2b_AIcuPvPcB5_gsqT5ZwcBvcotf4vqkd9DNXRLWDBNAJvv5u22JdhPt5towYYu1ltz09wkULaZ1JY7L-a42lmroTrZWt29E3G6wAcVEWE/s1600/nail+wheel%2527.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1548" data-original-width="1600" height="386" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyvC7IEfqPVZ5M7DCK5qm097nsN59avmWRai2b_AIcuPvPcB5_gsqT5ZwcBvcotf4vqkd9DNXRLWDBNAJvv5u22JdhPt5towYYu1ltz09wkULaZ1JY7L-a42lmroTrZWt29E3G6wAcVEWE/s400/nail+wheel%2527.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This item is a <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/diamond-cutting-marquise-rhinestone-nail-decoration-flat-bottom-resin-nail-decoration-p-40767.html">120 piece nail wheel with plastic studs, item #40767. </a> It currently retails for $1.99. I'm a little confused honestly now that I'm looking at it, because the item in the picture looks quite a bit different than the nail wheel I received. The colors on the website are more iridescent colors with a couple of metallics. In this nail wheel, there are four different metallic colors: the copper (which I used on the mani), the gold, a silver, and chrome.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzt_xnIykckfBlGjj34aeCdo-HD3yNd3dhJu-jc6-5PmVJPw7BkqunlZhWes-SfY77bE6xgvX2NN0GnkKYVGOtNMHEhlLycCKyjIum5wh0YQmH7Xhj6gDmLJAhxOZT8AqzQV2ssyGAp9ks/s1600/copper+and+black.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzt_xnIykckfBlGjj34aeCdo-HD3yNd3dhJu-jc6-5PmVJPw7BkqunlZhWes-SfY77bE6xgvX2NN0GnkKYVGOtNMHEhlLycCKyjIum5wh0YQmH7Xhj6gDmLJAhxOZT8AqzQV2ssyGAp9ks/s640/copper+and+black.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
So, for this main I decided to try out the copper studs. The studs in this nail wheel are all a lightweight plastic with a metallic coating on them. I decided to pair them with Sinful Colors "Copper Pot" for a copper based mani.<br />
<br />
These studs are very pretty, and have stayed well on my nail using a "gel-like" topcoat and no nail glue. I'm going on the 5th day of wearing this mani now and they are still stuck tight. I am noticing this morning that the metallic finish on the studs is just starting to wear off a little bit. They have a bit of a distressed look to them now. I don't mind it.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's post is a Simple Sunday post that is reviewing a couple of products from the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store. </a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdxqObQsJD7VBFd7CawkaldxPU84jfpzm_5W41QR7pnmbHb6Y_B4SdciBuYOe9fZp7Ifa87jbF3-mI_fNTJZzhqNi4b3puF5rIFyb8jHP0eTjvGlHpcPJlOA9ovMthDktacRErVrGv07Qj/s1600/purple+polish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1599" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdxqObQsJD7VBFd7CawkaldxPU84jfpzm_5W41QR7pnmbHb6Y_B4SdciBuYOe9fZp7Ifa87jbF3-mI_fNTJZzhqNi4b3puF5rIFyb8jHP0eTjvGlHpcPJlOA9ovMthDktacRErVrGv07Qj/s320/purple+polish.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The first item is a <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-ultrafine-tiny-holo-glitter-nail-polish-starry-nail-lacquer-varnish-polish-p-40446.html">purple foil/shimmer polish </a>that currently retails for $3.49. This polish has teeny tiny shimmer pieces running throughout it, so I thought it would also be able to be used as a stamping polish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOtQd4b1Vmf0wzIRse9rjKOB9tTWPOPwJA0d0PlQNs1mRMamZuy3v2g13JrthBVEBEwdKQYZy8roOeXhyphenhyphenOiqH7uC6Vykx3u0eE9qVqI1N0oz9xXfcD-zGyvl2I3bJFzkvE_aFaJd9LIyui/s1600/tropical+purple.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1424" data-original-width="1422" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOtQd4b1Vmf0wzIRse9rjKOB9tTWPOPwJA0d0PlQNs1mRMamZuy3v2g13JrthBVEBEwdKQYZy8roOeXhyphenhyphenOiqH7uC6Vykx3u0eE9qVqI1N0oz9xXfcD-zGyvl2I3bJFzkvE_aFaJd9LIyui/s640/tropical+purple.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I have used it on my ring finger to stamp with, and painted it straight onto my other nails. I didn't have any trouble stamping with it, so I was pleased about that. This color is a very deep, shimmery fuchsia. I have shown it here at two coats. It was pretty easy to apply, just as you would expect a foil polish to behave.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpeWEi-Ej1ZtkOdlks59_o4K2weevLQW1rVBSAaXN0xSl4KmzeUM7WHEMg06lDbqyLgaTayzJG72tfUT491aAQXx64C-kMYcN2_5-ElbwvO84f2HhesqeKpv3Mv6dzyu83qPO1kd73Y6TX/s1600/studs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpeWEi-Ej1ZtkOdlks59_o4K2weevLQW1rVBSAaXN0xSl4KmzeUM7WHEMg06lDbqyLgaTayzJG72tfUT491aAQXx64C-kMYcN2_5-ElbwvO84f2HhesqeKpv3Mv6dzyu83qPO1kd73Y6TX/s640/studs.jpg" width="636" /></a></div>
<br />
I also have used a<a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/metal-black-rivet-nail-studs-triangle-heart-star-mixed-shape-groove-manicure-decoration-p-40690.html"> metal stud from this nail art wheel</a> from the Born Pretty Store. I thought these studs were really interesting- I like that the wheel includes a large variety of shape (each compartment has a different shape), as well as the texture on each of the little studs. This nail wheel currently costs $1.49. I used one of the largest shapes in the wheel, the longer triangle, on my middle finger.<br />

<br />
<br />
Today's post is for the Nail Crazies Unite group, where there are challenges every other week. This week's prompt is "sunflowers", which I was excited for since it seemed so seasonally appropriate and being a Kansas girl at heart, sunflowers always tug at my heartstrings a little bit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuj5eMBKVoteNF4QEJnOqVSzLUaPya9mX4YdTfjbOgRIkDH8NgABhWAICdBjXQmkL8rhPZHlD8KaBBqeE2IMPh5oWukafkEM7U3EGeCVXF10R9TcaOU8rQxH0u3-SKUXkHgFFYaPraCLZB/s1600/sunflowres.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1599" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuj5eMBKVoteNF4QEJnOqVSzLUaPya9mX4YdTfjbOgRIkDH8NgABhWAICdBjXQmkL8rhPZHlD8KaBBqeE2IMPh5oWukafkEM7U3EGeCVXF10R9TcaOU8rQxH0u3-SKUXkHgFFYaPraCLZB/s640/sunflowres.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I decided to pair my sunflower with a cheerful blue plaid print.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwlJG60tPxMSGJERVvp1XTlBCgdWLSE69m2jSAEU1a_H2vpSLduArurwIt5z6xtNiZV1Lyyxgrp3gPsAQGrKzWRQaQUy3E7r-KEYSyR8rV0emW2bnBmfK2Y55wUOtEZwqBCrF-uQPzpi9Q/s1600/sunflowers+lo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1315" data-original-width="1600" height="262" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwlJG60tPxMSGJERVvp1XTlBCgdWLSE69m2jSAEU1a_H2vpSLduArurwIt5z6xtNiZV1Lyyxgrp3gPsAQGrKzWRQaQUy3E7r-KEYSyR8rV0emW2bnBmfK2Y55wUOtEZwqBCrF-uQPzpi9Q/s320/sunflowers+lo.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So, I started off with Sinful Colors "Quick Study", which is a matte polish but I ended up putting a glossy topcoat over the mani. I made a simple sunflower decal and placed it over the basic plaid stamping.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSGL0zM9Rl_wPxtlCFCAsv5qLps254cbovc8Zh0LoFDLGvLtnzbpdfh5vETun39s0byqzdgp3aJMf8Fifu5I2gDpHJlRplOsmslYQ7U2U4Kj938ZHEo1hTMk4FClTVb0acNReQOjd-o-td/s1600/born+pretty+plaid.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="996" data-original-width="1600" height="199" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSGL0zM9Rl_wPxtlCFCAsv5qLps254cbovc8Zh0LoFDLGvLtnzbpdfh5vETun39s0byqzdgp3aJMf8Fifu5I2gDpHJlRplOsmslYQ7U2U4Kj938ZHEo1hTMk4FClTVb0acNReQOjd-o-td/s320/born+pretty+plaid.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
My plaid design comes from this very useful Born Pretty Store stamping plate. Love all the textures and the variety of plaids to choose from on this!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtFBrtN-F999cVkKQ-HOtXqCM88EXJ4YQUF6VMhRq0YR7KNryzrdDE5LmV-D_k2dJ9wdsh_mKsXPd-boKDv_tdS928-iVWaL5XD5kczAikxHw0QuZexQ6cnTLWN9JwiV_SgqOK85tsU4Uc/s1600/born+pretty+floral.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="879" data-original-width="1600" height="175" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtFBrtN-F999cVkKQ-HOtXqCM88EXJ4YQUF6VMhRq0YR7KNryzrdDE5LmV-D_k2dJ9wdsh_mKsXPd-boKDv_tdS928-iVWaL5XD5kczAikxHw0QuZexQ6cnTLWN9JwiV_SgqOK85tsU4Uc/s320/born+pretty+floral.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My simple sunflower comes from a different Born Pretty plate, with lots of lovely line art flower designs on it.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I know, it's been forever since I've posted anything. Life has been just a little bit crazy lately with the start of a new school year and having my parents in town, but things are starting to settle down a little bit so hopefully I will start to have a bit more time to get to painting my nails and blogging!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig-OmretvG_NBFrECZEc8-Tg3Xw4Lhrc1jDGXThL6ZPkgdq1rQ7qjsU2ltVu0SPH1wJ7kvHLfSZgC7qXyRAiQtN_04AcrwevQ8hPHWRrVACSgWHOdXVWbfQCK59Kn__tlcX5ToQEJo4Z-4/s1600/turqouise.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1551" data-original-width="1549" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig-OmretvG_NBFrECZEc8-Tg3Xw4Lhrc1jDGXThL6ZPkgdq1rQ7qjsU2ltVu0SPH1wJ7kvHLfSZgC7qXyRAiQtN_04AcrwevQ8hPHWRrVACSgWHOdXVWbfQCK59Kn__tlcX5ToQEJo4Z-4/s640/turqouise.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Also, I had a bad break on my pinky nail and since then my nails have been having a rough go of it. I did this mani a while back and still haven't gotten around to posting it, ha ha.<br />
<br />
This is a super simple mani based off of the semi-precious gemstone turquoise. I figured I would do something simple for my newly super-short nails!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I used the water pattern from the Bundle Monster + Twi_star blogger collab plate once again. I have really gotten a lot of uses out of this one pattern!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-89735929868230479512017-08-11T07:28:00.001-07:002017-08-11T07:28:06.150-07:00Nail Crazies Unite: Vintage Sea MapHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's prompt for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/nailcraziesunite/">Nail Crazies Unite</a> group is "Nautical", which is always a fun summer theme. I've done some more <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/2017/02/seaworthy-nails-ft-moyou-london-sailor.html">classical colored nautical nails</a> this year already, so I decided to go in a different direction and take my inspiration from vintage sea maps.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0I2PlQ_cnk9lJlsK9qTRSe3lr6SIlU82wLhHs5UDlcOBb6IAkazAcXbRocPB6aDEPx8Oe31R68eZuL3rXk2C6x0dXv3k17bhS0HFegzOHBh506EuFdyM3TLmj2Y67kMTlPL9FgEr4TGFU/s1600/vintage+map.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1439" data-original-width="1438" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0I2PlQ_cnk9lJlsK9qTRSe3lr6SIlU82wLhHs5UDlcOBb6IAkazAcXbRocPB6aDEPx8Oe31R68eZuL3rXk2C6x0dXv3k17bhS0HFegzOHBh506EuFdyM3TLmj2Y67kMTlPL9FgEr4TGFU/s640/vintage+map.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Sorry about my cuticles... ha ha I've been doing a lot of scrubbing lately. Two year olds. That's all I'm going to say about that matter.<br />

<br />
I actually wanted to show though, the difference a little bit of sugar scrub made on my cuticles. This is the "after" picture.<br />
<br />
<br />
This mani started out with a base of the Wet N Wild "Yo Soy" color. I did all my stamping with Sinful Colors "Rainstorm", which worked out nicely for a kind of faded map look.<br />
<br />

The image on my middle finger comes from the newer MoYou London line, "Mix & Match". I thought this particular image would have a kind of nautical feel when paired with boats and things, and I wanted to mix things up in my design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The rest of my images come from this Bundle Monster plate from the "Hangloose" collection. I loved the little vintage style boat, and it became the inspiration for my theme when I saw it.<br />

MoYou London Frenchy 11Hello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's Simple Sunday is one I am really excited about. When I first saw some of the newer "Frenchy" plates from MoYou London, I totally fell in love with them, especially with Sunday manicures in mind. They have so many beautiful images on them that are perfect for simple, elegant looks.<br />
<br />
Today's mani uses more decals that I would typically use on a Simple Sunday mani, but because they are french tip decals, they are probably the very simplest kind of decals to make and great practice for beginners. I also like using decals for french tips because for me, it's a little easier to position them uniformly across all the nails than it is to stamp them perfectly on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjat0Ge0oRRo1sjavkKvSROJkhWudMnDO9sAwrnEJcCpv8uO4prE7_dn3KjJhZ4TvXRTjjHwwNlV3ElrfdalZwV25GPw20Gd9RBBT4phXxr414G5Hu7PjVQ9YI-r6nk2sQWqXo988tdaCpd/s1600/french+twist.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1481" data-original-width="1480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjat0Ge0oRRo1sjavkKvSROJkhWudMnDO9sAwrnEJcCpv8uO4prE7_dn3KjJhZ4TvXRTjjHwwNlV3ElrfdalZwV25GPw20Gd9RBBT4phXxr414G5Hu7PjVQ9YI-r6nk2sQWqXo988tdaCpd/s640/french+twist.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
So I ended up with a French mani with very traditional colors, but with a little added detail for a twist.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOZgoeOneQyL-nO3re7n0jvb5R1sWW1AHbUhiejFWt-I6qfkhacs9kc3gWiULLXRjllAIsHgIihHYYDhgQQdd4ZocNqDF03awpnegQSK2YP66DhWVh0jz4Rr637SybjGJLZ0NMMU9KimWl/s1600/french+twist+lo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1599" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOZgoeOneQyL-nO3re7n0jvb5R1sWW1AHbUhiejFWt-I6qfkhacs9kc3gWiULLXRjllAIsHgIihHYYDhgQQdd4ZocNqDF03awpnegQSK2YP66DhWVh0jz4Rr637SybjGJLZ0NMMU9KimWl/s320/french+twist+lo.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, a quick word about the polishes in this mani, particularly the pink: I've been seeing some people haul these Kiss Gel Strong polishes from the Dollar Tree on YouTube for a month or so now, so I've been keeping my eye out for them at mine but yesterday was the first time I actually saw them.<br />
<br />
I picked three colors up, though they had a bunch more, just to give them a try. I have to say, I really like this polish. These light pink colors can sometimes have a hard time getting opaque, but this was perfect at two coats for me and had a great formula. So definitely keep your eyes out for this polish brand at your Dollar Tree- it's a great deal for a dollar!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGuPDNoR1oIOKq2sjVpwDXniaam13YEK5v3N3zK1HPr1Bw99GW38mDBSj87b0p2lxdOKzpVxEd02-q-jXzqfYCInfqQ2KOgDKYAvN9MZQIqJz59pdwmwpPOXkBrhS0uhefl4oCi_vMheJf/s1600/frenchy+11+floral.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="897" data-original-width="1600" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGuPDNoR1oIOKq2sjVpwDXniaam13YEK5v3N3zK1HPr1Bw99GW38mDBSj87b0p2lxdOKzpVxEd02-q-jXzqfYCInfqQ2KOgDKYAvN9MZQIqJz59pdwmwpPOXkBrhS0uhefl4oCi_vMheJf/s320/frenchy+11+floral.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So, my image comes from the MoYou London "Frenchy 11" plate. I did <a href="http://stampingintothenight.blogspot.com/p/midnight-stampers-guide-to-stamping_13.html">make decals</a> with this image, but each one was really quick as all I had to do was paint diagonal lines onto the top portion of the image with the nail polish brush.<br />
<br />
I find that using the french tip images can be a bit tricky, so making a decal out of them can be a good compromise to make it easier to get them all lined up right on your nails. This trick will work especially well if you don't own a clear stamper- I can't image trying to line up french tip images without being able to see what I was doing!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-71791868752727055182017-08-04T08:20:00.002-07:002017-08-04T08:20:59.417-07:00Crumpets Nail Tarts: Color Explosions ft. MoYou London Mix and MatchHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's prompt for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/crumpetsnailtarts/">Crumpet's Nail Tart's Challenge</a> is "Color Explosions". When I thought about this prompt, I first associated it with "splats" or paint splatter patterns, but then I decided that neon colors would be an "explosion" of color and decided to go that route.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxqEncOwGjQuf16O3FbWU5tgYo4dsI6tW0ZHjo4CQDJ2TAKfyH7EQ_W_mAph8D61ieUiYyIwPju3B98I7LPLmx53ozQOaiTWCPYUr7USdzNY_hRIS7FEQB2uS6h52Y9kEJu6FsvOpVLFlB/s1600/color+explosion.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1366" data-original-width="1364" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxqEncOwGjQuf16O3FbWU5tgYo4dsI6tW0ZHjo4CQDJ2TAKfyH7EQ_W_mAph8D61ieUiYyIwPju3B98I7LPLmx53ozQOaiTWCPYUr7USdzNY_hRIS7FEQB2uS6h52Y9kEJu6FsvOpVLFlB/s640/color+explosion.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I also have been wanting to use some plates from MoYou London's new "Mix and Match" collection. Their 90s theme seemed perfect to pair with bright colors for an explosive look!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaXwSlGtAGB1KviinUiTqciltm39ECZ1D4_ZNmU_1-Ybd_x4RzZ80wFEsAxWIQlCiH1D3JeHUtB3aXoe7nTENUdhyphenhyphen_tXLsNbeb6sQ87twUCy_XUyZjCXQkFMRj0yRO2eznRs3skJRGNazk/s1600/color+explosion+lo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1170" data-original-width="1600" height="234" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaXwSlGtAGB1KviinUiTqciltm39ECZ1D4_ZNmU_1-Ybd_x4RzZ80wFEsAxWIQlCiH1D3JeHUtB3aXoe7nTENUdhyphenhyphen_tXLsNbeb6sQ87twUCy_XUyZjCXQkFMRj0yRO2eznRs3skJRGNazk/s320/color+explosion+lo.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I started off with a white base. This time I used Essie's "White Page", but I think I still prefer the Sinful Colors white. This white was really runny and required the same number of coats as the Sinful Colors (two).<br />
<br />
I picked some fun neons to go onto my decals. I figured since I had a white base, it would be easier to use the neon colors in decals to be placed over it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL0L9ODkWxLlQosy5vwW1kYFOL8a42aiXN1FQiwi97U6YN4noRoWoagB8v00MQuinex5N7SdUjAGgKNPQPKF0wfkHNDHHCUD5J_Re8b5gWyRcuoNOmuZ0asazES_OHollmv7B8en8NGmP_/s1600/mix+n+match+05+tropical.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="930" data-original-width="1600" height="186" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjL0L9ODkWxLlQosy5vwW1kYFOL8a42aiXN1FQiwi97U6YN4noRoWoagB8v00MQuinex5N7SdUjAGgKNPQPKF0wfkHNDHHCUD5J_Re8b5gWyRcuoNOmuZ0asazES_OHollmv7B8en8NGmP_/s320/mix+n+match+05+tropical.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Most of my images for this mani came from "Mix & Match 05", which has some really fun palm tree images!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-vRAi0XojVTBQE-iTB6dhPt9J8hjPOsSBahmOCMGI9ntNVn73I7B4tjLaMMG9A-IVSzZlGj2TElZ0bheJcZyMYZzogWYd41KSMSsMMf11v9QCT9lWQRzKNklrXxpjXF5_3xI1t1w0w5jb/s1600/mix+n+match+01+cuticle+designs.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="874" data-original-width="1600" height="174" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-vRAi0XojVTBQE-iTB6dhPt9J8hjPOsSBahmOCMGI9ntNVn73I7B4tjLaMMG9A-IVSzZlGj2TElZ0bheJcZyMYZzogWYd41KSMSsMMf11v9QCT9lWQRzKNklrXxpjXF5_3xI1t1w0w5jb/s320/mix+n+match+01+cuticle+designs.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The image on my pointer finger came from "Mix & Match 01". I really love the triangle designs on this plate! So fun for a half moon look with a twist!<br />
<br />
<br />
The good thing about this mani, is that even though I made a ton of decals for it the decals were so, so easy to do. Most of them were just painting broad straight lines over the back of them with polish straight out of the bottle with the nail polish brush. It went super fast!<br />
<br />

MoYou London FrenchyHello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today I have a very straightforward Simple Sunday mani using one of the newer plates in the MoYou London "French" collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhYvgF7PIIgLwoPTRLGIN8TtKtWyzoQV5JHhvnTNq01Ppj7LeOkiocIh_IHTcSJzLGk9jM8s9rrWL5VH_-KqRkzOHqUn3jRS5ZdbCJK_qS18s_k5yLYqyGfGHoMWxPlPzFg_SH1GRwRMdz/s1600/purple+frenchy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1599" data-original-width="1600" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhYvgF7PIIgLwoPTRLGIN8TtKtWyzoQV5JHhvnTNq01Ppj7LeOkiocIh_IHTcSJzLGk9jM8s9rrWL5VH_-KqRkzOHqUn3jRS5ZdbCJK_qS18s_k5yLYqyGfGHoMWxPlPzFg_SH1GRwRMdz/s640/purple+frenchy.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I feel like I have been doing a lot of purple based manis for Sunday lately. I guess I am really digging the color this summer! Ha ha.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6hWIT5y68ZbHDNLP0YTnrRVRqVvmwhb9xEbtqTUwV9RnPsBaM7ZWxxd_UbQySMwKiqJWeTTP6SgKqllEvOtlaEarOeoWYiMAJzFTU79V4LH03qFmVyG9OqhYN7mJV9KDoVS9iI9kc4qAu/s1600/simple+sunday+lo+king+size.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1599" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6hWIT5y68ZbHDNLP0YTnrRVRqVvmwhb9xEbtqTUwV9RnPsBaM7ZWxxd_UbQySMwKiqJWeTTP6SgKqllEvOtlaEarOeoWYiMAJzFTU79V4LH03qFmVyG9OqhYN7mJV9KDoVS9iI9kc4qAu/s320/simple+sunday+lo+king+size.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
The purple in this mani is a Sinful Colors/Kylie Jenner polish. I love the tiny gold shimmer running through this color- it really is a gorgeous polish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwKHqsGZ_iDW9yle5P-Mz47Uf8gWXYPr-CrHXwCb8kctmWdkTH0MmJ5MDyKrhnED7mG3-dDGLrscoRT0rpsierDzlcYaxoCDVYoiHmg4Y3onu0IeF4PX2EGb1VGMoIRfN9jpJzwu8qJlOI/s1600/frenchy+14+dangly+shapes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="881" data-original-width="1600" height="176" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwKHqsGZ_iDW9yle5P-Mz47Uf8gWXYPr-CrHXwCb8kctmWdkTH0MmJ5MDyKrhnED7mG3-dDGLrscoRT0rpsierDzlcYaxoCDVYoiHmg4Y3onu0IeF4PX2EGb1VGMoIRfN9jpJzwu8qJlOI/s320/frenchy+14+dangly+shapes.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My "french manicure" design comes from MoYou London's "Frenchy 14." This plate has a lot of very elegant, "grown-up" frenchy inspired designs. After I stamped the design onto all my nails, I did go over the top portion of it with my black polish and brush from the bottle, just to make sure it was nice and opaque.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4185444095473887832.post-9141492590083522872017-07-28T07:00:00.002-07:002017-07-28T07:00:12.942-07:00Born Pretty Review: Colorful Sand and Chameleon Powder**Products in this post were provided to me by Born Pretty Store in exchange for an honest review. <br />
Hello Readers!<br />
<br />
<br />
Today I have the final- for a while- <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/">Born Pretty Store</a> product review, featuring a couple of specialty nail art add-ons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSHwZsvy-zfXRdOWX4Ob18BhG-pby3sDjNXmwpu5S1K-LKEmNDow2y7wB191LDPxG3B1gQgUlnIyhhDetlSEfhjIuwOcVqmgY09buTg81LbVMokIfDrpJuqDaxO1lkwTE60Rvw7kavRxZb/s1600/pink+sand+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1339" data-original-width="1339" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSHwZsvy-zfXRdOWX4Ob18BhG-pby3sDjNXmwpu5S1K-LKEmNDow2y7wB191LDPxG3B1gQgUlnIyhhDetlSEfhjIuwOcVqmgY09buTg81LbVMokIfDrpJuqDaxO1lkwTE60Rvw7kavRxZb/s320/pink+sand+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The first item that caught my eye was this<a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-nail-sandy-glitter-powder-mixed-color-manicure-nail-sugar-powder-dust-p-40133.html"> colorful nail sand</a>. (item #40133) I thought it would be a fun way to add interesting texture, especially for some fun summer manis! The sand comes in six different colors, but I was drawn to the pink.<br />
<br />
It arrived in the little standard Born Pretty plastic pot, with a little seal under the lid to prevent mishaps in the mail. This product is currently priced at $0.99 a pot.<br />

<br />
The second item I tried in this post is the <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/born-pretty-unicorn-chrome-powder-nail-chrome-pigment-mermaid-powder-p-39940.html">Unicorn Chrome Powder.</a> (item #39940). This currently retails for $2.99.<br />
<br />
This also came to me with a seal under the lid, as well as a foam eye shadow applicator to apply the powder to your nails with.<br />
<br />
Now, on the Born Pretty website they recommend using this product with UV gel products. But I'm sure the burning question most people have about this type of product is, "can you use it with regular nail polish?"<br />
<br />
So, in this post I am showing you what it looks like used with just a regular nail polish. I used a quick-drying topcoat over a plain black base and sponged the powder over the top. For an even more saturated look, you could then add another layer of topcoat and re-apply the powder over that, but today I am showing the effect of just one layer.<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This mani started off with a basic white polish on my pinky and pointer, and basic black on my ring and middle fingers. I used a sponge to create a gradient over my pinky/pointer, and the unicorn powder to give my middle/ring fingers some sparkle and shine.<br />
<br />
For my middle finger, I used a stamp from MoYou London's "Holy Shapes 05" plate to section off the finger. After my topcoat was completely dry, I added liquid latex to the part of the nail I didn't want sand on.<br />
<br />
Next, I added topcoat to the nail and immediately dipped it into the pot of sand. I added more topcoat to any bald spots and re-dipped, and removed the liquid latex as quickly as possible.<br />
<br />
I didn't add topcoat to this for the photo, because I wanted to keep as much texture as possible, but adding topcoat would obviously make the mani last longer. However, after adding topcoat the sand does become less opaque.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Today's post is a mani I made using the farm plate from MoYou London's "Enchanted" collection. I wanted to do something bright and summery but I'm not entirely sure about how this one turned out...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaUFFccYeieiVWzQIYnFsSVoUEWPdMdtO5djkn6AkhV9n8UA7tptRaKlW4jncWm-OVkZjDmnbZNW6nhTX8Q4rVXO2LycyWHvnv_jugLgLM0wsXs-l_KTKs1-waOokgOI4F8WwAaM2F6gLu/s1600/technicolor+farm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaUFFccYeieiVWzQIYnFsSVoUEWPdMdtO5djkn6AkhV9n8UA7tptRaKlW4jncWm-OVkZjDmnbZNW6nhTX8Q4rVXO2LycyWHvnv_jugLgLM0wsXs-l_KTKs1-waOokgOI4F8WwAaM2F6gLu/s640/technicolor+farm.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I started out with some of the pastel neon polishes in MoYou London's back-to-school release for this year. I decided to pair them with a couple of neutrals to kind of tone down the bright colors a little bit.<br />
<br />

<br />
My cow and the flower images on my pointer/pinky fingers both came from the Enchanted collection plate. I made some quick and simple decals with those images. The images in this collection really do make quick decals, since there is so little to fill in.<br />

<br />
I decided to add a flower pattern to the mani, which comes from my favorite floral plate, the Bundle Monster + Tanya Wish blogger collab plate.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13050856910963481694noreply@blogger.com8
