Hello Readers!
Today's post is a mani I made using the farm plate from MoYou London's "Enchanted" collection. I wanted to do something bright and summery but I'm not entirely sure about how this one turned out...
I started out with some of the pastel neon polishes in MoYou London's back-to-school release for this year. I decided to pair them with a couple of neutrals to kind of tone down the bright colors a little bit.
My cow and the flower images on my pointer/pinky fingers both came from the Enchanted collection plate. I made some quick and simple decals with those images. The images in this collection really do make quick decals, since there is so little to fill in.
I decided to add a flower pattern to the mani, which comes from my favorite floral plate, the Bundle Monster + Tanya Wish blogger collab plate.
Whats not to love?! I really like it, your moo is so cute and I love the florals going on :D
ReplyDeleteThank you! Farm animals always have a certain charm.
DeleteI love the floral pattern. Very fun and bright manicure :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteI think I would love this more if your brights were a little less bright or your stamping polish were a lighter color. Just not my color aesthetic. The stamps are a great combo though and I love dat cow. 😁
ReplyDeleteYes, I think the thing that bothers me about the mani was that the colors felt a little bit " in your face". Maybe because the neons were the base color instead of an accent... I don't know. Anyway, it's always a learning experience! 😆
DeleteI've had that feeling a time or two before. I think it also had to do with the style of lines on the stamping plate. If you had used one of your bold geometric plates, it would have matched the bright colors and looked modern. This is a more traditional illustrated cute style that I associate with softer colors.
DeleteInteresting insight! I think you're right- I liked the colors together in theory, but with those images they were a bit "off". Geometric would probably be a better theme for them.
