26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Spring Animals ft. MoYou London animal

I've been looking forward to this Crumpets Nail Tarts prompt for quite some time now, because I love doing animal themed manis and of course seeing other people's animal themed manis! I'm posting this a day early to avoid two posts on the same day; I really want to post a St. Patrick's Day mani tomorrow!

The theme this week is "Spring Animals", and the first thing I thought of was the adorable bunny image on one of the MoYou London "Animal" collection plates. Adorable sweet bunnies sitting on tree stumps.

I wanted to keep my colors kind of on the pastel side to fit with the "spring" theme, so I started off with a base of Sally Hansen "Mint Sorbet."

I love the color of this polish, but it's a pretty runny formula.

30 Days of Color Challenge: The Green Outdoors ft. MoYou London Scandi Collection

Today's post is for the 30 Days of Color Challenge, and this week's prompt is "Green". I decided to go for literal and figurative interpretations of this prompt and do a nature-themed mani featuring the color green, and giving myself a chance to play around more with the Scandi collection.

...and also to play around with the Sinful Colors "Stoned Crystal Shimmer" collection, which I really have been loving this spring. In fact, this mani almost exclusively uses polishes from that collection with the exception of the black polish I used for stamping.

Most of the polishes in this collection require at least 3 coats; the darker ones require only two if you put them on thickly, but these polishes in general tend to have a somewhat runny formula. I used a few  "unused" polishes for the 30 Days of Color Challenge on this mani- the green, "Super Cooper", I actually was excited to spot last night at Albertsons of all places- I haven't seen it at Walgreens at all. This was also my first time using "Clay Me" and "Gotta Terra Cotta".

My mountains and camping image come from the Scandi-01 plate. This plate is seriously amazing. I love all the different themes on it- the castle, the beach images, even a double decker bus! And the surfboards leaning against the van! Also the rocket ship is super cute.

I paired the camping images with this other Scandi collection plate, because it has all these useful little patterns that work so well with all the themed images. I recently posted another mani that uses exclusively this plate, if you are interested in seeing it in action.

Clairestelle8: "Swirls" ft. Bundle Monster Kawaii Emoji

Today I have a post for the #Clairestelle8 challenge group on Instagtam, and the prompt is "swirls". Because I've been itching to play with the new Kawaii Emoji collection by Bundle Monster, I decided to pair my swirls with some adorable nail polish themed images from that collection:

I also did a little dry brush gradient for my pointer and pinky fingers to go behind the swirls.

I started with a base of the LA Colors "Citron". I really love this color. It's a little bit concerning when you first start to put it on because it looks super patchy on the first two coats, but the third coat is magic and that's how many coats I put on today.

I used the Revlon Parfumerie polish "Ginger Melon" to do a dry brush gradient on my pointer and pinky fingers. This was my first time doing it this way; I normally use a sponge but I didn't have one handy and I figured it would be a good time to try this technique out. I did enjoy doing it this way; it was quite a bit less messy than the sponge method.

The adorable little polish bottles and stamper head images come from this Bundle Monster plate, from the new Kawaii Emoji collection. This plate is so stinkin cute and I have seen a lot of people using it on Instagram already.

I got my swirls from this MoYou London Pro collection plate. I liked how thick these swirls were and felt they would match up well with the bold kawaii images I was using from the other plate.

Clairestelle8: Holi; Festival of Colors ft. MoYou London Artist, Festive

Today's prompt for the #clairestelle8challenge over on Instagram is "Holi", the Festival of Colors. I had heard of Holi before doing this prompt, and have always enjoyed seeing the pictures of people covered in colorful powders (as is the tradition here, because it's typically not warm enough to use colored waters). But, I didn't really know what it was about so it was fun to do some research to learn more about it. One of the main themes in the celebration is forgiveness and strengthening relationships, so I decided to add a "love" theme for a focal point in my mani.

I started off with a base of the "Lavender Soap" polish, and simply added splashes of color using a very fun MoYou London stamping plate from the "Artist" collection.

I chose my colors based off of a picture of different colored powders that were set to be used for a Holi celebration. It was fun to work with such a bright and colorful palette!

Here's a look at the "splat" plate, from MoYou London's Artist Collection. This plate is so much fun to play with. I broke it out once before to create splashes of water for a fish mani, but I've been dying to use it with different colors of polishes.

For my ring finger, I used this plate from MoYou London's Festive collection. I actually bought this plate after Valentine's Day because I just fell in love with the fun designs and I figured I'd find a way to use it even if it wasn't February. I stamped with BMC's "Straight up Black" polish, which is very highly pigmented so it gives a nice saturated look.

Nail Crazies Unite: Taste the Rainbow ft. Bundle Monster Kawaii Emoji

Today's post is another for the semi-weekly challenge at Nail Crazies Unite and the theme is "rainbow". Now, I just got the new Kawaii Emoji plates from Bundle Monster in the mail, and I really wanted to use them, so I fully admit to staring at the images thinking, "rainbow... rainbow.. what would work with rainbow?" and I saw the jelly beans- ok, technically I think they're supposed to be black eyed peas but whatever- and I thought they would be perfect.

I am aware that "taste the rainbow" is the skittles logo, but it's a rainbow of jelly beans and you could definitely taste them, so there.

...and here's my rainbow of colors. I simply started with a white base and then made five decals on my silicone mat.

So here's the plate I used, from the Kawaii Emoji collection by Bundle Monster. I think this might be my favorite plate in the collection- it is just so stinkin' adorable and has so many fun images on it. I've already seen some people use the broccoli image and it was sooooo cute!

30 Days of Color: GOLDen Gate Bridge ft. MoYou London Scandi

Today's prompt is for the 30 Days of Color Challenge, for which this week's prompt is "gold". I've been itching to use the new MoYou London Scandi collection, and I realized that one of the images is the Golden Gate Bridge, which would work perfectly for the "gold" theme. So I decided to use gold as more of an accent color in this mani:

I paired it with the "Big Ben" image, to go along with the gold theme. I did some reverse stamping, for this mani on my stamper head instead of my silicone mat, because for some weird reason I just couldn't get these images to stamp onto the mat properly. I don't usually have that problem; my guess is it was due to the fine lines.

My un-used polishes here are the two Sinful Colors, which are part of the new "Stoned Crystal Shimmer" line. I only used two coats of each polish here; but I've heard a lot of people need at least 3 for these lighter polishes in this collection.

I only used one plate in this mani, which was the MoYou London Scandi plate 3. These Scandi plates are so stinkin cute! I love all the travel themed images on this one, and that it also comes with some basic, very versatile tiny patterns to play with.
