31 Day Challenge: Hipster Stripes

Hello Readers!

Today's prompt for the 31-day challenge is: stripes! I considered a couple of ideas for stripes before settling on an image from Bundle Monster's "Time Machine" collection. I was inspired by the stripes surrounding the smaller image, although not too many of the stripes ended up on my little nails!

Tee-hee. This manicure makes me smile. It's silly and I am loving the way that moustache image turned out. I used Pure Ice Gel-tech "He Rocks My World", which is a very lovely pale gray. For my stamping polishes, I used Bundle Monster stamping polishes "Rose Garden" (pictured) and "Tranceland" (aqua blue).

The ring finger image was too big for my nails, so I decided to try the shrinking technique for the first time. I managed to get it a little bit smaller, but I'm thinking it may have been better if I used a squishier stamper instead of my clear jelly stamper. It took me a few tries to get the image to transfer completely, but I'm proud of myself for trying something new.

Here's a look at the stamping plate I used:

And for the stripes on my other fingers, I used this born pretty plate:

31 Day Challenge: Blue ocean

Hello Readers!

Today I am doing prompt #5 for the 31 Day challenge, which is... blue! Keeping with my parfumarie theme, I used two blue parfumerie polishes for today's mani: Tropical Rain and Surf Spray.

I started off with two coats of Tropical Rain (which smells just like shampoo; the kind that has some kind of "rain" or "waterfall" in the name), followed by a coat of Surf Spray on my ring and middle fingers.

I used a Bundle Monster plate from the Fuzzy and Ferocious collection for my walrus:

I wish I could have fit more of the walrus' fabulous tusks onto my nails, but since my nails are pretty short and I really wanted to have some of the blue water above his head, I sacrificed most of those lovely teeth.

And, since I like to change things up a bit on my other hand, I did an alternate accent nail with the seal image from this plate:

I used Wet N Wild Megalast in "Wet Cement" to fill in my walrus and my seal. Next, I used this Born Pretty stamping plate on my middle finger:

And finally, I stamped my water droplet image with a Bundle Monster stamping polish, called "Tranceland". The image comes from another Born Pretty plate:

Desert Dwellers

Hi all! Today I have a desert inspired mani using bundlemonster's BM-S168, "Desert Dwellers" from the Fuzzy and Ferocious set 2. I just love all the cute animals on the plates in this collection- they are a lot of fun to color in. For the southwest image on my green nails, I used a born pretty XL plate, BP-L009. It has a lot of fun southwest inspired designs.

Because sometimes I want to use all the images, but I don't really want to spend hours stamping, I do different images on each hand. I had a bit of a hard time getting the southwest design centered-  I guess I need more stamping practice.

For the main green color I used Essie "Going Guru", and the terra cotta color is Essie "Taj-ma-haul". I also stamped over the green with "Taj-ma-haul". I basically grabbed a bunch of random greens from my collection to color in the desert images with, along with a couple of pinks for the cactus flowers.
