Simple Sunday Christmas 2016- ft. MoYou London Explorer

Hello Readers!

Since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, I have to squeeze in one more Christmas mani to wear to church today! Because it's a family tradition to open a gift on Christmas Eve, I opened some new stamping goodies last night and decided to play with one of my new MoYou London plates from the explorer collection, which I felt would mesh well with a simple but elegant Christmas theme:

I started here with OPI "Red my Fortune Cookie", which I picked up recently at a discount store for $3. I did two coats of that, and then added some gold stamping from the MoYou London plate.

I love all the elegant images on this plate, and I though the Olympic torch would be cool for when the Olympics roll around. I also love the empty wreath image, because it would make a great frame!

I also used a Bundle Monster plate from the winter holiday collection to stamp my tree on my ring finger:

...and I finished it off with a tiny little star accent from a nail wheel I bought off of aliexpress. The wheel has lots of tiny stars in different colors.

Simple holiday party nails featuring MoYou London Trend Hunter

Hello Readers!

Today I have some simple and elegant nails that I painted to wear to my husband's work party. I am going to be dressing up so I figured my nails should me more formal too.

I started off with one of my favorite purples, Sinful Colors "Sleigh Me", which is part of their Christmas display this year. Originally I was going to create a decal with the MoYou London Trend Hunter image, but it turned out ugly, probably because I tried to do it with gold stamping and pastel colors to fill it in, and it just didn't work. So I simply stamped the image plain to go for a more subtle look.

I think these images really benefit from being filled in, because it's kind of hard to tell whtat the image is supposed to be here.
I also used a Bundle Monster plate from the winter holiday collection:

I used the snowflakes in the upper right corner and stamped them over my other nails.

Challenge Your Nail Art: Christmas Lights

Hello Readers!

Today's post is for the Challenge Your Nail Art group on Facebook, and the prompt is "Christmas lights!"

When I planning this mani, I thought it would be fun to do a "zoom-out" nail where I give the lights some context. In my case, my lights are on this little snowy house. I also considered putting them on a Christmas tree, but I didn't really like any of the options I had for Christmas trees to pair with these lights, so I went with the house.

Here is a quick look at the polishes used in this mani:

I started off with two coats of the Essie "Going Guru", except on my ring finger which has Revlon Parfumarie's "Tropical Rain" for a base. Next I stamped from the Bundle Monster Christmas typography plate onto all my green nails:

I created a decal to place across the nails using this Bundle Monster plate:

I actually only stamped the lights image twice, since I was placing them lengthwise, and cut each decal in half . I did add in some extra stamping of the pine needles because they were looking oddly "cut off" in some places on my nails.

On my ring, I painted a snow line on the lower half and place a decal of a house from this plate over that:

Then I added some little red dots to my house to represent the Christmas lights using a toothpick.
