30 Days of Color Challenge: Up-to-no-good Cat ft. MoYou London Animal

Hello Readers!

Today's post is for the 30 Days of Color Challenge, and this week's prompt is "blue". I decided to go with an image on a plate that I have always wanted to use as my inspiration: the little fish bowls from a MoYou London Animal plate. I figured, the water in the fishbowls would be blue... but what would I pair with it... and then I decided my fish bowls needed a mischievous cat.

Tee-hee.

For the 30 Days of Color Challenge, we are encouraged to use a polish that we have never used before, and for this mani that was the light blue "Cinderella" color. It was a polish I've heard a lot of people talk about but I always shied away because it is on the sheer side, but I thought it would be the perfect light blue color for this mani. I really love this polish, even though it took 3 thick coats because the shimmer in it is really lovely.

My little fish bowls come from this MoYou London plate, which is Animal-04. This plate is simply adorable. I have already used the bee image as well as the orca image, and in fact in the case of the latter I paired it with a plate from the Enchanted collection, just like I did here:

This plate is Enchanted-13, and it features lots of adorable cats and dogs. I isolated one of the cat images from this plate- I picked the one that was sitting at attention as if he were interested in the fish. Then I added stripes below him with my favorite plate, MoYou London Holy Shapes 05.

So I finished up this mani with a phrase from a Bundle Monster plate, which is from the Halloween collection "House of Horrors." Now, I know this phrase is a Harry Potter quote, but I thought it worked perfectly for this naughty feline.

I hope that this mani made you smile! Be sure to check out some more blue-themed manis in the link-up!

  1. The bowls are adorable!!! I need to check that yellowish Sinful, it looks like a great white alternative for nail arts.

    1. Unicorn used to be part of their core line, but they discontinued it recently so you might be able to find it at discount stores and bargain bins, but not on the regular shelves. I've always heard the formula is terrible so you might be better off looking elsewhere for an off-white. I like Daisy Daze, but it's also from a collection that isn't around anymore too. :/

    2. Thank you! I found Unicorn at Kmart a few months ago, but it was in their clearance section. And yeah, the formula isn't great. It's good for coloring in reverse stamping, but I'm not too crazy about it as a base color.

  2. Yes! Siamese kitty! I immediately thought of the evil pair in Lady and the Tramp.

    1. I have a soft spot for Siamese cats. :) So mischievous in nature and sassy. My Grandparents used to own one aptly named "mean toy", ha ha.

  3. The "I solemnly swear..." quote, is it from Harry Potter? ;)
