Friendly Spider for "Challenge Your Nail Art"

Hello Readers!

Today's post is another halloween-ish post for the "Challenge Your Nail Art" group on Facebook. The prompt is "spiderwebs", and I really wanted to use this plate from the Bundle Monster's "Fuzzy and Ferocious" collection for the adorable little spider on it.

I feel like the final resort kind of looks like you opened a door and as the light is streaming through the room, it illuminates a spider and her tangled web.

I used Sinful Colors "Strike a Pose" for my black base- it is a really fun polish with gold shimmer and flakies. I put two generous coats on, as the first was a bit sheer. My purple is Sinful Colors "Lie-Lac", and my spider is Revlon Parfumerie "Powder Puff".

My spider lives on this cute little plate:

I was originally just going to do the accent nail, but then I decided I wanted to add more purple, so I used my trusty MoYou London Holy Shapes plate to stamp large color blocking shapes onto my middle and pinky. It wasn't opaque enough at the first go, so I just added more polish straight out of the bottle. I find it's easier for me to keep the lines straight as long as I have a guide.

Next I added more spiderwebs from the Bundle Monster plate- just above where the spider is hanging down. I used the placement of those images to my advantage by placing the top edge right along the edge of the purple on my nails.

    1. Thank you! I think the holy shapes plate is going to be one of my most-used plates. It just comes in handy so often.
